Questions
The things clients usually ask me before we start.
What does STUDIO.NEGRA do?
STUDIO.NEGRA is my independent design and media studio. I deliver product photography, advertising campaigns, brand identities, motion and film, and websites, from the first concept to the final frame, all under one roof.
Who is Skander Negra?
I'm Skander Negra, the art director and designer behind the studio. My work spans market campaigns for Mercedes-Benz, Palomino Blackwing and LuxBox, concept work for The New York Times and the WHO, and humanitarian design with the UNDP and local NGOs. I work in four languages.
How can one person handle an entire campaign?
Modern tools have collapsed the distance between disciplines, and in a world flooded with AI-generated content the tools aren't the differentiator anyway. What matters is the judgment to direct them and the craft to finish properly. When I hold the whole vision myself, nothing gets lost in handoffs, and the quality bar stays professional from your brief to the delivery.
What languages does the studio work in?
English, French, Arabic and Spanish. I can produce briefs, presentations and final deliverables natively in any of them, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. I work remotely with clients across Europe and beyond, and most of my projects come from the Eurozone. My working hours align with Central European Time, so we collaborate in real time.
What does a project cost?
I scope and quote every project individually: a fixed price based on the deliverables and complexity, agreed before work starts. Because it's just me behind the work rather than an agency's overhead, you get agency-level output without the agency-level invoice.
How long does a typical project take?
Anywhere from a week to a couple of months, depending on complexity. I can turn a focused deliverable like a product shoot around in about a week; a full campaign or a brand identity with a website typically runs one to two months. I fix the timeline together with the quote.
